Myotubular (centronuclear) myopathy
Myotubular, or centronuclear, myopathy belongs to the family of congenital myopathies which are characterised by muscle weakness. There are three different types of myotubular myopathy each defined by the pattern of inheritance seen. These are X-linked myotubular myopathy, Autosomal dominant centronuclear myopathy and Autosomal recessive centronuclear myopathy.
