Care Advisor - West Scotland
Location: Glasgow
This exciting, demanding and challenging role strives to provide the best possible service for adults/children with a neuromuscular condition, as we are genuinely committed to improving lives for those affected.
This post is available from July 2007 based in Glasgow, working from Yorkhill Hospital advising adults/parents with children who have neuromuscular diseases.
The post would be suitable for a candidate with a background in nursing, physiotherapy or occupational therapy, who has a proven ability to work independently in the community. The post is mainly clinic and office based providing a regional point of contact for information and advice for those affected by a neuromuscular condition, their families and the professionals working with them and to empower people to advocate for the provision of appropriate locally based services and facilities to meet their needs.
The post holder must hold a current driving licence. The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign offers 25 days annual leave pro rata, life assurance, an attractive contributory pension scheme and BUPA assistance programme extended to immediate family members.
