Join the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign

Membership of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is free and open to anyone with an interest in the work of the charity. Our Members include people with muscle conditions, their carers, families and friends and health professionals. Members get to have a say in how the charity is run and a chance to play a part in the fight against muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular diseases.

Members receive:

  • a membership card
  • a members' information pack
  • Target md magazine four times a year
  • the latest news and information on muscle conditions, care and research
  • a copy of our annual review
  • a monthly e-newsletter

As a Member, you can vote in the elections for the National Council and take part in our annual membership survey to ensure that our work reflects your views and needs.

We can put you in touch with clinics, MDC Care Advisors, Regional Fundraising Managers and local branches and representatives. You also have access to our national telephone information line.

you will also be helping
the Campaign, as it is very valuable to us to have a large and informed membership base. It increases our influence on central government and local authorities as well as our credibility with grant makers, corporate partners and the media. It also increases our negotiating power to aid campaigning. Having a large amount of Members also enables us to understand and meet
your needs.

However, if you decide that you don't wish to be a member, we still want to help as far as we can with advice and information for anyone affected by, or worried by, muscular dystrophy or a related neuromuscular condition.

Membership is free (unless you are joining from overseas). But if you are able to, please show your support through a gift, as we rely almost entirely on donations to sustain and grow our services.
