Ann Smylie has Facioscapulohumeral Dystrophy. In 1994 she bought a Multimaster Toning system.

“At first it was a little difficult, but after a few weeks all my contractions were gone. I am very supple now and my muscles are in brilliant tone.”

“The machine has helped me to make good use of the muscle I have. I use the machine for two hours, three times a week and to avoid boredom, I have my TV and radio in the room.”

Ann is also very keen on music and has recently started classes on her new Casio keyboard.

“For the past 10 years, I have been a member of the Corrymeela singers. This is a cross-community concert group which meets weekly. Last year we visited Austria to sing in concerts with other European choirs. The funds raised were donated to 3rd world building projects. Using my toning machine on a regular basis has helped my breathing and in turn, my singing is now louder and stronger.”
