David Kane has hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy. He is a busy young man with a number of interests.

He has recently taken up the guitar and is enjoying making music. He is an avid reader and a collector of books and comics. His favourites are Beano and Dandy, he has over 100 of them. His favourite books include The Famous Five, The Secret Seven and The Horrible Histories.

He is also a Lego enthusiast and has several thousand pieces from which he builds space stations, rockets, underwater expeditions, radio controlled cars, Lego cities and a big police station with fast cars.

His hero is James Bond, so his spy kit is another favourite and he has mastered the art of writing secret messages using invisible ink. When he grows up he wants to be ‘Q’ and invent “really cool” gadgets.
