Update
Ripunjoy very sadly passed away on 12/03/2007. Below are a few words from his mother about this incredible
little boy;
A few words about Ripunjoy (RIMON) that come straight to our mind
Rimon had far from given up, he was a pillar of strength..... the strongtest there ever was. It was young Rimon who was suffering all the pain with all the happiness and that brought us all back to life. He stood strong in times of all this distress and did not give it up for anything. He studied, played and educated himself. He made most of ever opportunity he could, being bed-ridden, and put in all the effort to prove the world wrong. He made people treat him as a figure of respect rather than being a person whom people felt sorry for.
Chosen for felicitation by the President of India was a remarkable achievement he made us all proud of. Not many fit people have qualified in this category. He was marked as the pride of Assam. Children looked up to him as an idol, parents used him as an example for their children.
It was his wish that he make use of the computer and explore the indefinite sources of knowledge from the machine that many of his age use only as a gaming machine.
