HNPP
HNPP - Hereditary Neuropathy with liability to Pressure Palsies - is an inherited nerve disease which affects the peripheral motor (muscle) and sensory nerves.
It causes recurrent episodes of numbness and weakness brought on by minor pressure or trauma. Recovery from these episodes is usually complete at first, but may progress to only a partial recovery.
Symptoms of HNPP may be similar to Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, and the condition is sometimes referred to as HSMN.
