An introduction to minicore myopathy
Minicore myopathy is a congenital myopathy. This group of conditions mainly affect the proximal - shoulder, upper arm, pelvic and thigh - muscles causing weakness and wasting. The condition was originally named 'multicore myopathy', however the preferred term is now 'minicore myopathy'.
