Computers

Computers have become essential for many of us, but they can be invaluable for people with a muscular dystrophy or related condition, who may rely on them for leisure, communication and occupation. For example children use computers to assist with schoolwork, carrying out their own research and typing up their assignments.

Computers can offer independence; users can communicate via email and search the web to get information. There are a large number of devices and adaptations to enable even the most disabled user to operate a computer independently.

Visit the links below for information on services and organisations that can offer assistance with assessment and/or funding of computer equipment.
