Christmas Cards and Gifts 2008

Christmas is a special time for families and friends everywhere, so by buying a card or gift for your loved ones you will also be helping families affected by muscle disease.

This year we are selling a card designed and painted by Alexandra Baily who has congenital muscular dystrophy.

Alexandra has been interested in art since she was a little girl. She spent six years studying art at Chichester College and then in 1999 she set up Anda Cards to sell her designs. She was inspired to paint 'Out in the Snow' by a fond childhood memory.

"Christmas has always been full of happy childhood memories for me, especially of the snow we had every winter when I was little and living in Germany. I had great fun playing with my friends in the snow, and even though I couldn't do all the things they did, I enjoyed joining in from my sledge. Now when I see children playing in the snow, I think of those winter days! It was these memories that inspired me to paint ‘Out in the Snow’, on sale below.”

Alex kindly donated her design to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
