The Oxford Family Treasure Hunt 2007

The Q Trust's first fundraising Treasure Hunt took place in Oxford on the 13th of May 2007. Over 200 people braved the torrential rain to take part, raising over £10,000 for people with muscular dystrophy!

"A really exciting event for all the family. We will be back next year!"

Organised by Q Trust Supporter, Jane Byam Shaw, in association with Felicity Tholstrup of Hidden Oxford, the event took participants on a fascinating journey through the city's famous streets, meadows, colleges and museums. Armed with a map, our intrepid explorers searched high and low for to solve the 20 clues spread out along the the 4.5 km (2.8 miles) route.

To add to the adventure, the heavens opened, down came the rain and out came the wellie boots. The teams - from toddlers to grandparents, battled on, whether by foot, by bike or by pushchair to complete the course.

The money raised will go to help people with muscular dystrophy in the Oxford area where the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign funds a Care Advisor and cutting edge research projects.
