The Campaigns team is here to help anyone affected by muscle disease who is experiencing difficulties with social care, education, access to specialist health care services and employment rights issues.

An eighteen year old young man with Duchenne muscular dystrophy is enjoying the use of a Neater Eater and a mobile arm support after his family, with the support of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, won a battle with the local council to secure funding for these vital pieces of equipment. With the Neater Eater and mobile arm support, he will be able to eat independently and help him fulfil his plans to go to college.
Meet the Campaigns team...
Nic Bungay - Director of Care, Support and Campaigns
Nic oversees the work of the department and ensures that the Care, Support and Campaigns Team keep the needs of people living with muscle disease at the heart of our day to day work.
Bobby Ancil – Project Manager, Trailblazers – Young Campaigners' Network
Bobby oversees Trailblazers national and regional campaigns and ensures that young people with muscle disease are at the heart of the charity’s work.
Lisa James – Senior Policy and Campaigns Officer
Lisa is working with our Muscle Groups to continue campaigning for improved specialist neuromuscular services in each region. She leads on our policy and campaigning work with Government to make sure that the needs of people with muscle disease are recognised and responded to nationally.
Jonathan Kingsley – Parliamentary and Campaigns Officer
Jonathan is coordinating Parliamentary activity and working on inquiries being conducted by cross party groups on muscular dystrophy in the Houses of Parliament, Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly. He is also working with Muscle Groups in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Tanvi Vyas – Project Assistant, Trailblazers - Young Campaigners' Network
Tanvi is working on building new regional Trailblazers groups across the UK and developing national and regional campaigns.
Jennifer Taylor – Policy and Campaigns Officer
Jennifer is helping to develop our Muscle Group campaigning activities, as well as working with the NHS to ensure that we continue to see increased investment in specialist neuromuscular services.
