Wilma Stewart is the regional care advisor in Glasgow.
Wilma supports both adults and children with muscle disease at:
Clinical Genetics Centre
Yorkhill Hospital
Glasgow
G3 8SJ
She also supports clinics at Southern General Hospital and Rainbow House in Ayreshire.
Wilma has been employed at the MDC since July 2008. She previously worked with Marie Curie Cancer Care for 25 years as a Manager of Community Services for North and East Glasgow and also as Clinical Nurse Specialist supporting children and families facing life changing issues. This background has provided her with plenty of transferable skills for supporting adults and children facing a variety of challenging situations. Wilma works closely with the Scottish Muscle Network for Greater Glasgow & Clyde Area,helping to promote and develop neuromuscular services across the West of Scotland. Her aim is to provide an equal and accessible service for all people affected by muscle disease.
