Equipment grants (JPT)
Empowering people with muscle disease to remain independent
During 2009/2010 we will also be able to fully fund equipment for people aged under 19, thanks to our charity partnership with Tesco
The Joseph Patrick Trust (JPT) is the welfare trust of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and provides part-funding towards the cost of equipment for children and adults with muscle disease.
The JPT funds equipment, such as powered wheelchairs, adapted computers and electric beds, which promotes mobility and independence.
Since it was established in 1986, the JPT has awarded over £3 million to more than 5,000 children and adults with muscle disease.
The Joseph Patrick Trust is a significant source of help to people with muscle disease. I am heartened every time I hear from people to whom our work has made a real difference.
J A Patrick, Chairman of the Joseph Patrick Trust Management Committee
