Peer Support
Being able to talk to someone in similar circumstances to yourself can make a huge difference to how you feel.
Many people tell us that they feel really inspired after making contact with someone else who has 'been there' and found positive ways of dealing with their circumstances. They say, following a peer support session, that they feel less isolated and alone and more positive.
We now offer contact with a range of services to help you get in touch with others like you. Please read more about our exciting new MD Links project, our Living with MD programme and our connections with Partner Charities for more information.
We also know that making the first step towards making contact can be hard, so if you have any further questions or concerns about joining one of our peer support networks, you can also contact us on 0800 652 6352 (freephone) or email info@muscular-dystrophy.org to talk things through first. Our Information team are here to help.
