Becker muscular dystrophy

A genetic disorder in which the muscle cells break down, causing progressive muscle weakness. Becker muscular dystrophy usually affects only boys/men and is caused by a lack of dystrophin protein. The disorder resembles Duchenne muscular dystrophy, but is much less severe.
