Hereditary motor and sensory neuropathies

A group of genetic disorders which affect the peripheral nerves or the myelin sheath which surrounds them. This group of disorders includes Charcot-Marie Tooth disease which is characterised by progressive weakness and wasting of the muscles in the calves, lower arms, hands and feet.
