The switch from annual review to impact report format

The cover of the impact report 2005-06The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's priorities for 2006 - 2007 have been set in the context of wider developments. From 2006 all charities are required to report annually on the impact of their work over the previous 12 months. In line with good practice and to improve clarity, the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign has set itself five clear aims, each with an associated
set of objectives.The first half of this report looks in detail at the aims and objectives, and a table on page 29 summarises them.These will now be the focus of the charity's work.The objectives will ensure the charity remains accountable to Members, supporters and donors; they will also enable achievements and ambitions to be measured going forward.

You can download the Annual Report and Financial Statements for 2004-2005. These are a formal statement of the charity's affairs as of 31 March 2005 and the results for the 15 months ending on that date. The charity moved its year-end from 31 December to 31 March and so the results are for 15 months rather than the usual 12 months. This change was to enable a better fit of the charity's activities with its financial year.
