Manchester United manager and Muscular Dystrophy Campaign Patron, Sir Alex Ferguson was joined by stars of stage, screen and sport at his prestigious annual golf event, held this year in aid of the charity.
Thirty-two teams took part in the golf challenge, each led by a well-known name from the world of sports and entertainment, including Sam Torrence, John Parrott, Michael Vaughan, James Nesbitt, and X Factor winner, Shane Ward.
The day was rounded off by a dazzling gala dinner. Guests took part in a live charity auction, helping to raise over £50,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
Sir Alex said:
This charity is very close to my heart and I've supported it for most of my adult life. I'm delighted to be able to help all those affected by muscular dystrophy.
Abby Mardon, Director of Marketing and Communications, said:
The event was a real success. It was great to see so many people giving up their time to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. We are extremely grateful to Sir Alex for all his support.
Thanks go to Sir Alex Ferguson, Aztec Event Management and everyone who took part.
