Limited edition Steiff Rupert Bear raises £5,500 for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign

The charity’s favourite bear Rupert turned 90 this month and to celebrate, a one of a kind handmade Steiff Collectable Rupert Bear went up for auction with all proceeds coming to the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.

The special commemorative 90th anniversary bear features the distinguishing Steiff ‘Button in Ear’ and is the largest ever made. The auction ran between the 7 and 14 November 2010 and we are delighted to announce that the Steiff Collectable Rupert Bear raised £5,500 for the charity.

Rupert Bear has been associated with the charity for many years adorning collections tins, t-shirts, key rings and other fundraising materials. We hope this limited edition bear will capture the public’s imagination and raise vital funds to help us help families and individuals affected by muscle disease.
