Oxford Town and Gown 2011 - the results

Oxford Town and Gown 2011The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign would like to say well done and thank you to everyone who took part in the 2011 Oxford Town and Gown 10k run on Sunday 15 May.

Over 3,000 people registered this year from elite club runners to those in fancy dress, marking the 30th consecutive year that Oxford has hosted this event.  A full write up of the winners and their times will be available to view here shortly.

"The 30th Oxford Town & Gown has been one of the best yet. The charity cannot thank these fantastic runners enough for their support."

A special thank you

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign would like to thank Atkins for helping set up the course. Without their road furniture and hard work the race could not happen. We are also grateful to the Oxford Mail for their media partnership - their support as been much appreciated. The race would not have been possible without our many volunteers who gave up their Sunday morning to ensure the event ran smoothly so many thanks go to them.

A final and personal thank you must go to the race committee from Alchester Running Club who have voluntarily organised the Town & Gown over the cold winter months. Their tireless energy and enthusiasm has made the day possible.
