Trailblazers cinema petition - sign today!

Trailblazers from across the UK are busy drumming up support for their upcoming access to cinema campaign and and documentary.

Trailblazers have spent much of the past few months researching and reporting on the facilities available for disabled people at cinemas. The young campaigners have also been producing their own short film on the subject that will be released later in the year, where they discuss the matter of access with film stars, cinema companies, architects and politicians.

From the evidence taken from more than 120 surveys carried out by the Trailblazers at UK cinemas, they’ve found some excellent examples of first rate cinema design and customer service, but also far too many cinemas that are letting disabled cinema goers down and in the process putting people off.

The young people have now set up their own petition to help them raise awareness of their findings and encourage cinemas across the UK to sign up to a charter of best practice on access.

The Trailblazers say going to the cinema should be fun, enjoyable and relaxing but for many disabled people this is still not the case.

Read more on the campaign and sign the petition and show your support for Trailblazers.
