Celebrity chef bakes for our birthday
Celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo shares something in common with the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign - we are both celebrating birthdays this July.
To mark the occasion Gino is supporting our make every birthday count fundraising campaign and has donated his Biscotti alla vaniglia e cioccolato recipe from his Italian Home Baking book.
So this summer while you are celebrating with friends and family, why don't you help mark our birthday on the weekend of 6 to 8 July and download Gino's recipe and turn your hand to creating a culinary masterpiece. Speaking of the recipe Gino said:
"Like all children, my boys love cooking. I caught my wife and kids once making cookies from a ready-made packet which just required the adding of an egg or water - you can only imagine my reaction!"
Once you have cooked up your Biscotti alla vaniglia e cioccolato, also known as chocolate chip and vanilla cookies why not share your creations with us in our discussion forum and take your home baking into work and sell them to your colleagues with the proceeds coming to the charity.
There are many ways to get involved. You could also host a party with your friends and family on our birthday weekend; organise a themed party, afternoon tea party or simply a birthday party. Or if organising a party is not for you, and you'd still like to be involved, why not donate a virtual birthday present through our just giving pages.
Please get involved and help us make every birthday count and contact our fundraising team on 0845 872 9058, email us VolunteerFundraising@muscular-dystrophy.org or contact your local Volunteer Fundraising Manager.
