Sue Barker's President's Awards 2012

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is proud to honour individuals who have contributed to funding research and support for people affected by muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions by fundraising, campaigning, researching and the hundreds of amazing things that our supporters get involved in.

In celebration of your support we are asking for you to nominate someone for Sue Barker's President's Awards and the Scottish Kite Awards.

Sue Barker's President's Awards:  

  • Fundraiser of the Year 
  • Fundraising Group of the Year
  • Inspiring Person of the Year 
  • Inspiring Young Person of the Year 
  • Campaigner of the Year 
  • Corporate Partner of the Year or Partnership of the Year 
  • Young Scientist of the Year 
  • Health Professional of the Year 
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
  • 'Special Recognition Awards' - this is a new category, introduced this year, in order to pay special thanks to those individuals whose contribution to the charity should be recognised.  

Sue Barker MBE, the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's President, will present the awards to the winners at our national conference on Saturday 13 October 2012.

The Kite Awards

For Scotland, the categories for the Kite Awards are:  

  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Community Champion
  • Campaigner of the Year 
  • Lifetime Achievement Award

These awards will be presented at our Scottish Conference on Saturday 6 October 2012.
