Information for runners

Exhibition:
We look forward to meeting you all at the Flora London Marathon Exhibition at ExCel, Royal Victoria Dock, London, E16 1XL from Wednesday 18 to Saturday 21 April. You must register at the Exhibition to collect your running number, without this you can’t take part in the marathon! We will be on stand 74, so come and say hello! We will have a goodie bag for all our runners and are available to answer any last minute questions you may have!

Cheering squads…
The crowd is a BIG part of marathon day - they are the ones encouraging you every step of the way. If your friends and family are coming to support you, please encourage them to support your 110 Muscular Dystrophy Campaign team mates in their orange vests - it will make a big difference.

The Bridge House bar on Tower Bridge (the half way point of the marathon route) have kindly donated their premises to the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign for the day. This will be used as a base on the route for friends, family and our volunteers in their bright orange Muscular Dystrophy Campaign sweatshirts. Please make sure that your supporters are aware of the bar - they will get a warm welcome, and you will then know where to look out for them.

As well as the cheering squads on Tower Bridge, it would be great if your supporters could go to the Docklands area of the race. Every year, runners say that this is the toughest part of the race as crowd support is at a minimum. This year, we want all our runners to be cheered through the Docklands, so we ask that you direct your friends and family down to the Island Gardens area of the route.

And recover at the end!
After running 26.2 miles you may just be in need of some rest and relaxation! Our Reception is held right at the end of the race, at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, 12 Great George Street, London SW1P 3AD, opposite the Houses of Parliament.
