Susan running the 2007 marathon © Richard Everyone at the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign would like to wish all our fabulous runners good luck for this Sunday's 2008 Flora London Marathon!

After months of training and fundraising the final day is drawing near. There's some information for all the runners below, and also for those who are coming along to offer their support on the day.

This year 105 people are taking to the streets of London as part of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's mighty marathon team. This includes the charity's chief executive, Philip Butcher, and three other members of staff. We will be there to cheer them on - please join us.

Information for supporters
There are two official Muscular Dystrophy Campaign cheering points where family and friends can come and show their support. They are placed at 12.5 miles ( The Bridge House Bar & Dining Room, Tower Bridge Road, London SE1 2UP) and 25.5 miles on the marathon route so there is plenty of time for your spectators to try and be at both (unless you are Paula Radcliffe of course!).

We have plenty of orange t-shirts and branded materials to help your spectators stand out and make a noise. There will be volunteers in orange t-shirts and Muscular Dystrophy Campaign banners to show your spectators where to go when they arrive. Download more information about the 25.5 mile cheering point and post-race reception: London Marathon 2008 (350 kb) [doc]

Our photographer will also be out and about snapping pictures of all Muscular Dystrophy Campaign runners so make sure you have one of our orange vests or t-shirts on.
