Trailblazers and MPs at the launch of the young campaigners network at Parliament On Wednesday 16 July, Dave Anderson MP successfully secured a Westminster Hall debate about young disabled people.

He used the opportunity to probe the Minister on what steps the Government were taking to improve the quality of life for young disabled people, as well as highlighting the positive work of Trailblazers, the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign’s new young campaigners network. During the debate Ann McGuire, DWP Minister for Disabled People, committed to meeting with Trailblazers.

Trailblazer Laura Merry who attended the debate in Parliament said:

"It is important that Ministers hear our voices and take notice of our concerns and ideas. Therefore it is very encouraging that the Minister has agreed to meet Trailblazers and hears what what we want to say."
