Portrait of HRH Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh, by artist Jonathan Yeo, courtesy of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign You may have seen The Duke: A Portrait of Prince Philip on ITV's two part documentary about his life and work.

Prince Philip is Patron of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and has been a much-valued and active supporter for 42 years.

To celebrate his longstanding commitment to the charity, the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign commissioned the acclaimed artist, Jonathan Yeo, to paint his portrait.

This work is one of three portraits undertaken for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign by Jonathan Yeo. The other two are Honorary Life Presidents, Lord Richard Attenborough and Lord Walton (all courtesy of a private donation).

Portrait of Lord Richard Attenborough Kt CBE, by atrist Jonathan Yeo, courtesy of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign Yeo said, "It has been a privilege to meet and paint these three men who have done so much to help such an important cause."

Potrait of Lord Walton of Detchant, by artist Jonathan Yeo, courtesy of the Muscular Dystrophy CampaignWith nearly 150 years of fighting muscle disease between them, the portraits demonstrate that the battle against muscle disease is a long term one, fought tirelessly by dedicated people over many years.

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign has a proud history and was set up nearly 50 years ago to help families and children with muscle disease. We give families support to help manage day-to-day as well as bring some hope that the future will bring a cure through our investment in scientific research.
