Ten-year-old releases fundraising Christmas single
Ten-year-old Charlie Green has recently recorded an original Christmas song called Hands Around the World to support his friend and raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
The lyrics and music have been written by much-respected songwriter and musician Cedric Whitehouse who has previously worked with Roy Orbison, Kenny Rodgers and Chaka Khan.
Charlie is also a seasoned performer having appeared alongside Cilla Black and The Drifters, to name but a few.
Roger Green, Charlie's father (and himself a well-known vocalist), said: "When we discussed with Charlie that we'd like to share this project with a worthwhile charity he was overjoyed when we suggested the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. His former classmate and reading partner, Murray Field, has Duchenne muscular dystrophy and Charlie's hope is that we will raise a lot of money for his friend's charity."
