Thank you to MDC Marathon Runners

Congratulations to all our fabulous marathon runners!

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign would like to extend a great big thank
you to all of the dedicated and enthusiastic runners who participated in the London Marathon yesterday. We have so far received over £100,000 and the cheques are still coming in everyday, so all of the hard work carried out by these fantastic fundraisers is truly making a big difference in the fight against muscle disease.

The atmosphere on the day was electric, despite the frequent showers. We would like to thank all of the loud and proud volunteers who took to the streets to help cheer on our amazing runners. Each and every runner mentioned how empowering the crowd was, as if an extra pair of legs suddenly appeared from nowhere when they went past the squads of orange supporters. We would also like to thank everyone who helped out at our post-race reception, including the highly skilled volunteers from Sports Therapy UK and the attentive staff from Central Hall, Westminster. We were so glad that we were able to reward our brave runners with a massage and a hot meal at the end of their journey through London.
