Would you like to have a say in the way that we communicate research?
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign research team aims to keep families up to-date with the latest research advances by providing a comprehensive information service on our website as well as in our charity publications Target MD and Target Research.
In order to make this service as effective as possible we want to harness the experience and skills of our supporters, to ensure that we provide the information that people are looking for, written in a way that they can understand.
In 2008 we established a committee of supporters who are keen to have a say in how we communicate research. We meet annually at the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign head office. During these informal meetings examples of our recent research articles are scrutinised - the feedback is invaluable. We also have brainstorming sessions to gather ideas on how to improve our research communication - both in print and on the website. In between meetings we regularly liaise with members of Talk Research by email to seek their input.
