Richard Attenborough Fellowship Fund

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign has recently launched the Richard Attenborough Fellowship Fund. The Fund honours Lord Attenborough's lifelong commitment to the charity and its world-class research and aims to ensure the future of clinical research and training at leading UK neuromuscular centres.

Lord Attenborough is a world-renowned actor and director, who has worked tirelessly for those in the UK living with muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions. The Richard Attenborough Fellowship Fund offers Fellowships to enable clinical research and training at leading UK neuromuscular centres in Newcastle, Oxford and London.

"The Fellowship has its eyes firmly placed on the future. It's there to capture young, talented, highly qualified researchers to drive on into the future." Watch Michael Attenborough as he talks about the Fund.

How can you help?
Please consider donating online. If you would like to make a considerable contribution to this Fund, please contact Claire O'Connor on 0207 803 4861 or c.oconnor@muscular-dystrophy.org

What will you be funding?
Early research and clinical trials are hampered by a shortage of researchers and specialists. We identify promising projects and invest in their early stages, which can lead to huge scientific advances. Read more about the world-class pioneering research we are funding.

The Richard Attenborough Fellowship Fund will drive the research he worked so hard to develop, seeing treatments progress to clinical trial for the benefit the families affected by muscular dystrophy and other related neuromuscular conditions. Read more about the Fellowship.
